Easy Slow Cooker Whole Chicken

Whole chicken, 3-4 lbs Medium lemon Thyme or rosemary Dried sage Coarse kosher salt Fresh garlic minced Yellow onion Butter and olive oil


Squeeze the lemon over the chicken then rub the olive oil onto all the skin. Sprinkle the herbs on the chicken and rub them into the skin.

Tuck the onion and butter into the cavity of the chicken. Place the chicken breast side up in your slow cooker.

Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 7-8 hours. The chicken is done when it registers 165-175 degrees F on a meat thermometer.
