Shepherd's Pie with ground beef & Cream Corn

1 lb grass-fed ground beef 2 cups creamed corn 1/2 cup diced yellow onion 1 cup finely diced carrot 5 medium potatoes 1 tbsp ketchup 1 cup beef broth 1 tbsp butter 2 tsp flour

Ingredients

Step 1

Fry the diced onions and carrots over medium heat until they start to brown. Meanwhile, start boiling the potatoes.

Step 2

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Stir often, just until the beef is cooked through.

Step 3

Add the flour, ketchup and beef broth to the skillet and stir well to combine. Bring to a low simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Pour the hot beef and gravy mixture into your baking dish and spread it evenly over the bottom.

Step 5

Top the meat layer with a creamed corn layer. Then top the creamed corn layer with your mashed potatoes.

Step 6

Bake in a preheated oven at 400 F until the top starts to turn golden brown and the filling is bubbling. This will take around 30 minutes.
