Meatballs with Creamy Mushroom Sauce

16 - 22 beef meatballs Half and half Cremini mushrooms Onion Minced garlic Gluten-free flour Butter Salt and pepper to taste


Melt butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Add sliced onions and cook until soft. Add half and half, mushrooms and garlic. Stir well.

While the mushrooms simmer, make a roux to thicken the sauce. (follow the link below for the roux recipe)

When the mushrooms are done cooking, slowly add the roux to the cream sauce. Stir well to incorporate. Add more roux until the sauce reaches your desired thickness.

Add the meatballs to the sauce and simmer gently until the meatballs are heated through. Serve onto plates.
